The Street Party: 23 July to 7 August
Storytime, all ages welcome
Sessions take place at 11:00 and 14:00 and last approximately 20 minutes
Find out what happens when Sally and Henry meet the ducks who have taken over their street and replaced the cars and hedges with ponds and quacking ducklings in a storytime session.

Make and Take – Creative Workshop, ages 3 – 12
Workshops from 11:30 and 14:30; activities last up to an hour
If you were an architect what kind of street would you design? Would it have hover cars and pink houses, or would it be multi-coloured and furry? Young designers can create 3D models of their visions using fun, creative materials including pipe cleaners, lollipop sticks and clay.

Be Safe Week: 8 to 12 August
Workshops for families and free stamper card trail will run from 8 to 12 August
Kids can have fun, meet safety experts and learn how to be safe at home, in public and when using public transport at London Transport Museum’s ‘Be Safe Week’. Kids will learn directly from the Police, London Fire Brigade, British Red Cross, RNLI Lifeboats, Transport for London’s School Liaison Officers and other agencies, and will collect a stamp from each team of experts they visit.

Musical Magic: 13 August – 4 September
Singalong – all ages
Sessions take place at 11:00 and 14:00 and last approximately 20 minutes
Join musicians for a sing-along featuring classic transport songs as well as a few you may not have heard before.

Invent a Song, ages 3 – 12
Workshops from 11:30 and 14:30; activities last up to an hour
Are you always singing? If the answer is YES then this workshop is for you. Budding musicians can help create an original song which will then be performed by a busker live in the Museum.

Other activities for families this summer

All Aboard
The Museum’s All Aboard play zone is perfect for younger visitors: children can play conductor on a real bus, repair a mini Tube train with toy spanners, and work in the ‘Lost Property’ office. Older kids will enjoy driving Tube train simulators and meeting costumed actors who bring the exhibits to life.

London by Design gallery
Children with a passion for art will also love the new London by Design gallery, where an innovative audio-visual display projects a river of images on the floor which lead visitors on a journey to different showcases in the exhibition.
